Ice in the River

I think these are referred to as "ice bells". The river flows over limbs that hang down and the ice forms. I'll have to say I've lived here all my life and was so excited to find these. It took a camera for me to actually stop and take notice. I wonder how many obscure things I miss on a daily basis because I am not looking closely enough?

About Me

My photo
I consider myself an AMATEUR photographer. The word AMATEUR in Latin comes from the word "AMATOR" meaning lover, devotee, enthusiastic pursuer of an objective. Over time we have come to use the word in a negative sense, as though somehow an amateur is less than professional, but as I see it, I don't want to lose the "love" of the art. I am passionate about blessing others with the gift I've been blessed with.
